Students involved in the W.O. Smith private lesson program are offered one-on-one instruction once a week with a qualified volunteer teacher.  Instruction is offered for the following instruments:

  • piano
  • guitar and bass
  • drums and percussion
  • brass instruments
  • woodwind instruments
  • string instruments
  • voice

Generally, volunteer private teachers donate an hour of their time per week, teaching two students for a half-hour each.  If you are interested in volunteering as a private teacher at W.O. Smith Music School, please complete the form below and we will contact you when we have a need for teachers of your instrument of expertise.

All employees and volunteers at W.O. Smith Music School are subject to criminal background and child abuse registry checks.  Authorization for background information will be required prior to placement.

****PLEASE NOTE****  We are no longer accepting volunteer applications for the Fall 2017 - Spring 2018 School year. If you would like to apply to become a volunteer teacher for the Fall 2018 Semester please do so after August 1st. Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer.
