The W.O. Smith School provides professional one-on-one music instruction in the following instruments:

• piano
• guitar and bass
• woodwind instruments (flute, clarinet, oboe, saxophone, bassoon)
• brass instruments (trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone, tuba)
• strings (violin, viola, cello, double bass)
• percussion (drum set, mallet percussion, timpani, aux percussion)
• voice

Instructors

Instruction is provided by community volunteers who donate from one to four hours of their time per week.  Each volunteer has been thoroughly vetted to ensure safety and a quality education for each student.

Requirements

Students must be at least 9 years old.  Students must be proficient in reading music OR must have completed the Basic Musicianship class at W.O. Smith.

Schedule

Private lessons are offered during school hours, Monday through Thursday from 10:00 am–6:30 pm and Saturday 9:00 am–12:00 noon, and they are based on the schedules of the participating student and his or her teacher.
