Summer Camps
The W.O. Smith Music School currently offers two summer camps for students interested in an exciting artistic experience in addition to their lessons or classes. Guided by a world-class staff, the students get the opportunity participate in varied activities. Past camps have included singing, dancing, cooking, painting, and a whole lot more!
Resident Camp
Now in its 21st year, W.O. Smith Resident Camp is for youth ages 12-18 and is hosted at Hillmont Camp and Retreat Center in White Bluff, Tennessee. The camp offers a week-long musical experience to 80 current W.O. Smith students through a daily schedule of required activities including private instrumental lessons, music theory classes, instrumental ensembles, chorus, self-directed practice time, and a musical theatre production. A staff comprised of current and past W.O. Smith Music School faculty members and guest teaching artists from around the country instruct all classes.
Day Camp
W.O. Smith Day Camp is a new and exciting two week camp for children ages 7-11, hosted at the W.O. Smith Music School building. The camp is designed for the young musician to experience music in a stimulating and multifaceted environment. About 30 students participate in this program that incorporates music class, singing, basic percussion, games, field trips, and some surprises! A staff comprised of current and past W.O. Smith Music School faculty members and guest teaching artists from around the country instruct all classes.
