Predators Foundation donates Piano Lab
Thanks to a generous donation from the Nashville Predators Foundation, additional W.O. Smith Music School students will receive piano lessons this year and into the future. Our new Roland Digital Piano Lab allows four students to take group lessons helping to alleviate waiting lists. Some of the unique features of the lab include the ability for the teacher to listen and talk to students individually, in a combination of groups or to all of the at the same time. Students receive the individual attention they need while enjoying making music with their classmates under the supervision of a teacher.
The Nashville Predators Foundation is devoted to funneling the excitement of professional sports towards the needs of the community. Since its establishment, the Nashville Predators Foundation has indeed made a significant impact on the Middle Tennessee community.
Through the support of the fans at various fundraising events held throughout the year, the Foundation is able to award several hundred thousands of dollars in grants to Nashville and Middle Tennessee area charities and community service organizations. 2012 saw the largest one time grant allocation in team history – $350,000 – and a total of over $3.0 million in grants during the 14 year history.
In addition, the Predators select 4 charities out of the 100 to work with a little closer as a “Featured Charity” and W.O. Smith was selected as one for the 2012-13 season. W.O. Smith Music School will be the Featured Charity at the game Tuesday, April 9th. We will provide more information on how you can particiapte soon!
