If you’re brand new to our W.O. Smith family, here are a few important bits of information!
All new families MUST register with us in person! We like to be able to meet you (and your student, if possible) to answer any questions and get you acclimated to our school.
W.O. Smith serves underserved children in the Metro Nashville area, ages 8-18. No experience is necessary, and your family does not need to be in Davidson County/Nashville in order to register - as long as you can commit to the drive!
All lessons and classes cost $.50/week/activity. For example, if your child is in a lesson and one class, each week will cost $1.00.
In order to take lessons, all registered families must qualify for free/reduced lunch or qualify as low income based on government standards. Click here to see the income guidelines.
All students are required to go through our Basic Musicianship class. If your child has musical experience through private lessons or public school, they are welcome to test out of the class.
Students who register with us will go on a waiting list. We place students into classes/lessons based on a lottery system. Additionally, the more times you give for lesson availability, the better chance your child will be placed into classes right away.
