WOSCC Quick Facts:
The W.O. Smith Community Choir (WOSCC) is a chorus comprised of the W.O. Smith community. Those who participate are alumni, volunteer teachers, board members, parents, and advanced students (by recommendation). Choir members are not required to be active members of the W.O. Smith community (active teacher/student), but they are encouraged!
Why join?
Experience the joy of singing in harmony.
Build friendships and connect with fellow music lovers, all within the W.O. Smith zeitgeist.
Develop your vocal skills in a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment.
Participate in local performances at the school and in the community.
Who can join?
Anyone over 18 is welcome to join and no auditions are necessary. If you are a current WO student or under 18, you will need a recommendation from a W.O. staff person to participate, or a small audition may be necessary.
When and where?
Location: W.O. Smith Music School - 1125 8th Ave S
Rehearsal day/time: Thursdays 6:30-8 pm
Assuming we have a good amount of interest, we will plan to begin as of February 6, 2025, and will run through the academic year (end date in mid-May). There will be at least one performance in April/May to conclude our first semester as a group!

WOSCC Key Personnel - Spring 2025
Anna Arata - W.O. Smith staff person/liaison and WOSCC director.
Anna has been on W.O. staff since 2018. She graduated as a voice major from Belmont in 2015 and took over directing the W.O. Smith’s older choir in 2022. Contact: anna@wosmith.org
Grace O’Duffy - W.O. Smith part-time staff person and WOSCC piano accompanist. Grace is a current choral education major at Vanderbilt. She has been accompanying both W.O. Smith student choirs since 2023. Contact: grace@wosmith.org
Allyson McIntyre - W.O. Smith staff person & fill-in WOSCC accompanist. Allyson has a doctorate in composition from UGA. She has been a WO staff person since 2019 and has been directing the children’s choir since 2022. Contact: allyson@wosmith.org
