About the Roy Wunsch “Stardust” Scholarship at W.O. Smith Music School
Application Eligibility and Requirements
W.O. Smith/Nashville Community Music School provides scholarships to aid W.O. Smith/Nashville Community Music School students who have been accepted, as music majors, to accredited colleges or universities in the United States.
Scholarships are available in amounts up to $2,000 per academic year, accumulating to $8,000 for four years. These scholarships can be used for living expenses or other expenses incurred as part of the college experience, i.e., instrument, music, books, travel, etc.
Scholarships are available to W.O. Smith/Nashville Community Music School alumni who meet all of the following criteria:
W.O. Smith/Nashville Community Music School students who have fulfilled a minimum of 2 years (4 full semesters) of private music instruction.
Currently enrolled at/registered to attend an accredited college or university as an undergraduate music major.

Audio Production/Engineering
Collaborative Piano
Commercial Music
Composition and Film Scoring
Arts Administration/Music Business
Music Education
Music History/Ethnomusicology
Music Performance
Musical Theater
Music Theory
Music Therapy
Sacred Music
Songwriting
Note: Other Music Majors that are not listed need to be approved by the W.O.Smith staff
Qualified applicants must submit the W.O. Smith School Collegiate Scholarship Application and all of the requested accompanying materials. All scholarship recipients will make end-of-semester reports to W.O. Smith School, which will be due every August 15 and January 15. Reports must include a description of how the scholarship funds were used and a report of current studies and grades.
